  1. Initially I would like to commend the presentation made by my team mate Michael. After the presentation the first thing that came into my mind was about the children with visual impairment. With out the knowledge of my classmates I was really moved by the thought on how will a teacher make a visually impaired child appreciate the beauty of "color" like the color "green". Yes, we may let a child touch a leaf from a trees, plants and flowers and perhaps feel the flow of water that may represent the big ocean that sometimes looks color green. But the deeper appreciation of "kulay luntian" is quite challenging. And then i realized that there are more ways to make a blind child appreciate the color. For their palate to appreciate, a taste of a green leafy vegetable may help. And finally I imagined an education trip on a hill full of trees and plans is also a wonderful activity to make them smell the fresh air which comes out of the trees and listen to the calm sound created by the wind touching the leaves.

  2. The reporter is prepared, i like the way he deliver his report. I want to compare it to a pop song that has a catchy chorus. The reporter captured our attention and we are all into the lesson.

I think the part where in I really appreciate and put into heart is about the kids who has ADHD because some of my students has it. I'm burdened with there behavior during our class time but little did i know it's also there behavior in other subjects. through the report I've learned there attention span, how to handle them and how to appreciate them.

I tried to test a class where in one of the learner has an ADHD. I notice that when he is sitted he always move and talk to his classmates but then when i gave them activities he acted as the leader of the group and told his classmates what and how to do the activity. From then on I added more activities in my class not only for him but also for his classmates to learn in a different way.

  3. Sir Michael deserves a round of applause for a job well done. He is a very good reporter and he provided all the needed information on his topic. The part that I really appreciated is actually those students that has special needs. It is very important for us to learn how to appreciate them so that it will be easier for us to handle them and for us to determine on how are we going to deliver our approaches so that they will understand it clearly and for them to feel that they are part of the class and not being isolated with others due to their special needs.

  4. The report about the Exceptional Development was delivered properly and clearly by the reporter. He has thought of a way wherein his report would become appealing and catchy to his audience. With this, I want to commend Sir Michael for his distinctive presentation.

Recalling his report, what struck me a lot was the way he presented the behaviors, attitudes and characteristics of a child with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) syndrome. Since I haven’t encounter a child with this kind of syndrome, I can say that I have now the idea on how they would behave inside the classroom and this would help me a lot as soon as I will practice the teaching profession..

  5. The report on Exceptional Development was really amazing to capture the whole topic in a creative and spontaneous way, and in a manner which definitely captures the attention of the audience. It was impressive. At the back of my mind, while the presentation was on-going, I was thinking if I can really handle a situation of children with developmental disabilities because I never had an experience before. Teaching children with developmental disabilities would really be a challenging job. Generally, it was an opportunity for me to be introduced on this topic.

The concept that caught my interest was on the Behavioral Management of children with ADD/ADHD because they are placed in normal school environments. As a teacher I must know how to manage children with this kind of behavior. One way of applying behavioral management with ADD/ADHD student is modifying his/her learning activities like giving him/her structures, routines, and schedules or an individualized educational planning. In applying this concept, I believe it is not only the role of the parents to explain to the child his/her situation but of the teacher as well. In this way the child understands better the intervention made both by the parents and the teachers.

  6. The presentation that Sir Michael presented about the Exceptional Development was astounding and creative at the same time. He presented the information in a fun way that his classmates would really what he presented to us. Its different from the other presentations. Its very catchy too,and you really get into learning.

One thing that struck me from his presentation is kids who has ADHD. I don't have experience with a child dealing from ADHD, but after the presentation, I learned a lot about it. I can put into use what I learned for future purposes.

  7. The presentation about Exceptional Development was great; it was very interactive and imaginative. Each concept was properly discussed. The presenter was able to impart the lecture in a very informative and entertaining manner.
I was moved with the presentation about children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Having the knowledge with this kind of disorder, I will be able to properly identify if one of my students is presenting signs and symptoms of ADHD, and correctly provide intervention to the child. I believe that early detection of the disorder is very important, for us teachers and for the parents as well to properly guide their children with their developmental needs.

  8. The presentation was clear and easy to grasp since the reporter used mnemonics and story telling to capture and motivate the learners to process information that is complex. I did realize that children with exceptional development needs our help as educators since they are somehow ostracized by our society. Inclusive education must be done for this kind of students so that this negative connotation must be eradicated from our society.

  9. The presentation on exceptional development was impressive in terms of technique in delivery and clarity of content. The interest of the audience was sustained from the beginning to the end of the report. The reporter made use of mnemonics, cues and gestures for better retention, more like metacognition. One concept that struck me is the case of autistic children. Now I can better understand autistic children, how they behave and how they express themselves. In expressing themselves in what they think, feel and want, you’ll need a paper and some crayons and teach them to sing what they have in mind. This way, we can understand clearly what they want to say.
